I am a first year medical student and I was hoping to learn from Dr. Collins's habits as a medical student in order to improve some of my own. Dr. Collins is a phenomenal writer but I was expecting this book to be more about medicine and his medical school experience. Instead, he spent a lot of time writing about his relationship with his girlfriend. I read his other book "Hot Lights Cold Steel" before read this one and was expecting this book to be similar in content (from a medical school standpoint rather than a residency standpoint). It was more about his personal life than his medical school experience. Overall good book but if you are looking to read it for the same reason that I was, I don't recommend.
