Presentation from the author to the famous 19th century actor William Charles Macready, Park has written on f.e. p '...in admiration of his exalted genius, this humble volume from the author-London, New Wharf, Temple, July 1840. ' A pencilled note below in the same hand states 'By the author of the play in your hands entitled 'The Squires Daughter. ' Sound vg condition in original blind stamped dark green publishers boards with gilt lettering at spine and gilt device on front. Some minor mottling slightly more evident at rear; vg.
