Cogley's Report, sponsored by the Fund for the Republic, offers no opinion on the practice of blacklisting, but seeks to ascertain all the facts involved through interviews, as far as they were possible, with every important interest concerned -executives of radio and TV chains, advertising agencies, leading advertisers, theatrical unions, leaders of anti-Communist organizations, and others prominent in "listing" or "clearing" individuals, and many producers, directors, actors, writers, reporters, news commentators, and agency men.
