His fifth book The story of a man running away from Illinois in the 1870's to the West to find sanctuary. Laid in is a handwritten note and envelope from Boyd to a collector dated June, 1940 wanting this book inscribed. He was in Baltimore, Maryland at the time recovery from some illness. Fine book in a fine dust jacket with the only flaw being the spine is slightly faded. A beautiful copy!
