I would recommend this book, with reservations, to a fellow applique artist. This is a book for the advanced stitcher, not for someone who wants to learn to do applique. The patterns are clear, and it is an excellent source for a method for doing a symmetrical central medallion. The motifs are quite complicated, however. If you are just learning applique, pass this one by and look for another book with more tips on technique.
