This is by far the worst text on the subject of Biology yet created. The body of the text contradicts the images of cellular cycles, and even contradicts itself only 3 sentences later. It contains the worst descriptions of the Calvin Cycle, Cellular Respiration, and the production of ATP I've ever seen. If you want to make a difficult subject impossible, buy this book. You're kid will never understand the subject, and will be forever destined to ask if you want fries with that order. If you actually want to learn something about biology, buy anything else, learn it from wikipedia, or ask a wino, you'll be better off..
I would give this one No Stars in the rating, but the software won't allow it to go that low.
A stack of these books is worth $7 per ton.
I am a professional, trying to teach my son biology using this book issued from his school. I've decided to buy something else to use in helping him learn. If you're going to homeschool your kid, don't use this book.
