As the 1940s wore on, the end of the big band/swing era resulted in changes on the pop music horizon. This fourth disc in Rhino's latest pre-rock series, Billboard Pop Memories: 1945-1949 shows how sophisticated, jazzy fare declined, and forgettable, novelty numbers reigned.
