Great book for small children
For the very young in the family. Lots of smiles all around. A truck driver in the 1950's picks up his big rig loaded with toys and delivers them to the big city store. Eating along the way at a classic truck driver cafe on the road. Talking to friends along the way. The book ends with Big Joe going to bed in his motel and going to sleep...... Lights out time! Worked every time.

Great for kids
Do you have a little boy - or girl, for that matter - who loves trucks? Feed their obsession with this great little book on a day in the life of a truck driver. The illustrations are highly detailed and very entertaining, and it makes a great introduction to the logistics of getting goods from place to place for a child. And Big Joe loves his job, which makes the story a joy. Our copy is quite battered from being requested so often. This is a great one to have - and do check out the companion volume, Big Frank's Fire Truck.
