The first of the Cormyr Saga (Cormyr, a novel) is excellant as a stand-alone, but this has all the deep history needed to enjoy 'Beyond' and the third (Death of the Dragon), The last two novels need to be read as one book. The saga's writing by the three authors is seamless and as good as it gets.
