If you know how to use this book it can become one of your best Korean textbooks. The book looses a star because it has no grammar-drill exercises, it only has comprehension exercises. The vocabulary is modern and practical - for daily living in S.Korea. The grammar is well-explained and the audio is very good. Romanization is written underneath the Korean script. The book covers the same amount of vocabulary and grammar as a one-year course at university. I found that the best way to use this book is go through the following four steps for each chapter: (1) memorize the vocabulary and grammar (2) memorize the phrases & learn to read the dialogues until you can do them smoothly (3) memorize the supplementary vocabulary (4) do the exercises until you can do them smoothly.
