Do Badmen Take Vacations?
The review contained in Amazon's ad is taken from the front and back cover of the book, as I hold that book right here in my hand. This is a Gold Medal original by Will Cook, and Will Cook was a master story teller of the Old West. His novels have authenticty and realism that come through clearly as each page is turned. In this one Sheriff Lincolm McKeever finds himself embroiled in something know one suspects is happening in the town. But too much of a good thing has its way of allurement and that was the problem--life was too good and easy in this town--and it attracted unsavory characters to its region of the west. I rate this book a sleeper, one that a person might overlook and miss. Don't do it.
