How wine should be written about
This book is wonderful - a perfect winter warmer! The author ,long a favourite of mine, addresses wine topics with humour and honesty. There are no pretentious overtones or aromas but straightforward memories which make one laugh out loud and learn something at the same time. Often the views are the ones one thinks but does not dare to utter. Well researched and whimsical but still serious about wine. If you want a quick education and a few facts to stop the biggest wine snob in his tracks you'll find it here. Most importantly you will be inspired to try a glass of something else next time and not be disappointed! Give to everyone you know. It also is the perfect commuter or bedtime book as the vignettes are just long enough to leave you with a laugh and pleasant thought before sleep or slipping into the hum-drum world of work! Did I say how much I liked it??
