A very strange combination of FZ interviewing claymation-on-acid artist Bruce Bickford and a 1978 Halloween show in NYC. Whenever I hear the band, I am just stunned at the caliber of musicianship all around. In the midst of all the chaos, the sudden improv, the absolute anarchy and inanity (Roy Estrada falling in love with a gas mask, for instance), each member of the band performs in full Virtuoso mode. With a capital V, you'll note. Oh, I know full well that one would have to be a Virtuoso in order to be able play FZ's music in the first place, but to see it in action is just, well, it's... thrilling.
