This book covers American Indians cultures from the earliest groups of Indian wandering hunters until well into post historic times. The great variety of maps tie in with the text nicely . The pictures and text combine to make a factual history that is not only informative but very interesting reading as well. I keep this book handy while reading other American Indian books so I can reference the maps as a geographic guide. Excellent!
