Michael Flanders and Donald Swann opened At the Drop of a Hat, a multi-topical "after dinner farrago" on New Year's Eve 1956 at the New Lindsey Theatre in London. It ran for three weeks and then moved to the Fortune Theatre where it prevailed from 1957 to 1959.
