Seller's Description:
Very Good++ in Very Good++ jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. Subtitled, "Roosevelt, Churchill, de Gaulle, and the Murder of Admiral Darlan". 1st Ed., 1st Ptg. 302 pp. Crisp, clean and bright copy with very minor wear and previous owner's embossed stamp on front free end paper. Remainder mark on bottom page edge. Dust jacket is bright and clean with very slight wear.
I felt that the author spent too much time talking about Roosevelt;s and Churchill's agendas and political ideations. When he did finally talk about Darlan's assassination, it was almost an after thought. The book gave very little information about the actual assination and the assasin. Hardly any mentionwas made about Admiral Darlan's naval service or his contributions the French Navy. I feel I'm being generous in giving this book 2 stars. There must be a better book out there.
