Beginning to Dig
For the reader or researcher interested in pursuing the trail of European languages, patriarchal religions and the genesis of ancient technologies, this book is a good starting point. The reader cannot stop here, but must refer to later texts of the same issues to understand the full scope of these primarily, conjectural matters. For example, the question as to whether Indo-Europeans or Aryans invaded eastern Europe once, on numerous occasions or by a gentle osmosis is left unanswered no matter what text is read. Their point of origination is also still speculative. At least V. Gordon Childe, though dated, will help in framing the parameters of the quest.
