Read this book!
Any one interested in British history and especially King Arthur will love this book. The authors have been researching original sources of British history since 1956 on the part of Alan Wilson, and 1976 on the part of Anthony Blackett. This well written book is the product of decades of Wilson & Blackett's efforts. You will learn that most of what you have been told about the King Arthur of legend is misleading and over romanticized. There were two real flesh and blood King Arthur's in the same leneage six generations apart, both King of Glamorgan Wales. You will learn actual history is even more interesting than fictionalized legend. By researching an enormous body of written documents, many in the Welch language, these authors breathe life into real people whose well documented real lives are much more exciting than mirky legendary characters. I learned so much from this book that I was inspired to buy eight others written by these remarkable historians about the real history of the British people. Warning - be careful, by reading this book you risk having much of the history you have been taught crumble and worse, you will fall in love with Wales and the actual fact based history of the British people. I cannot wait for the next opportunity to visit Wales to visit the numerous actual locations that still exist where the two King Arthurs walked the earth. Anyone truly interested in the British people will not be disappointed.
