Thirty-one stories about robots, androids, cyborgs, and sentient computers, all of which are here to serve humanity, or are they. Stories by some of the best writers of today and a handful from the past. It wasn't that long ago when you could make a simple phone call, answered almost immediately by a very nice young person who would make your appointment, or direct you to a person who would help you with just about any problem you might have. Those days are gone. The sweet young voices have been replaced with robots. Some of them look like computers, others like assembly monsters who can work 24 hours a day without pay. In most instances they're nowhere near as capable as those entry level customer service employees and assembly line workers who made the fatal mistake of requiring payment for their services. This collection includes, a myriad of robot types, from internet security robots, to home assistants, and even electronic prostitutes. As you might imagine, a robot is only as good as its programmer and because programmers are only people we hope our collection of stories will both warn and entertain you with the unexpected results that can happen when good intentions go bad. Today when your computer asks, "Are you a robot," you can only answer no. What will the world be like, when you can answer "yes, yes I am."
