In fact, I had to buy this again, because when I "went-to" it at Thanksgiving, I found it was on permanant loan to who knows who! My mom made a ton of recipes from this book while I was growing up in Rochester, so I really need my own copy. And it's worth finding the original notebook/stand binding. More cookbooks should utilize them. Some of the recipes seem dated and/or loaded with fat to 21st century sensibilities, but you can easily modify them....or not. Made as written, especially during the holidays, they are the essense of comfort food. See Apple Cheese Tart (you start with 2 sticks of butter, and end up with a divine creation...). Also look for the other Junior League of Rochester cookbook "For Goodness Taste". You can't go wrong!
