Most importantly, the writers of the Book of Revelation are identified and their prophetic preoccupations are shown to be parochial and utterly rooted in 1st Century AD Palestinian politics. The AntiChrist in particular is clearly demonstrated to be a chimera that emerged from a range of unrelated and obscure texts that can now be understood as arising from the activities and teachings of a 1st Century sorcerer who peddled an alternative version of Christianity to those promulgated by the early Apostles and St. Paul. We even know his name!
