Excerpt from Annual Report of the Financial Affairs of the Town of Easton in the State of New Hampshire, for the Year Ending February 15, 1907 In presenting this report I feel that I can give only a small idea of the work which has really been accomplished during the past year. Much of it has been of the kind which does not show on the outside but is just as necessary. We have tried to raise the standard of morality as well as scholarship. A great effort has been made to secure a more regular attendance on the part of the pupils. This is a great help to the teacher and an absolute necessity to the pupil if his work is going to amount to anything. We have also tried to have better care taked of the books and school property in general. I think these two efforts have met with a fair degree of success. We have arranged a more systematic course of study and some new books have been introduced. There are still many things which need improving and we hope to attain some of these in the future.
