These rules and regulations shall take effect, and be in force, from the 28th day of August, 1841, and until the same shall be altered; but no alteration, addition, or new rule and regulation, shall be made, except with the consent of, at least, two-thirds of the members present, at a special meeting, to be called for that purpose--notice of the intention to move an alteration, being also made, at any previous meeting, at least ten days before such meeting take place. (Lancaster.) 'HE John O'Gaunt's Bowmen are an old and important society. They were revived at Lancaster in the year 1788, and again revived in 1820, since which time they appear to have prospered.
