As a white man, I do not think I have had a great understanding of the emotions and motivations of the blacks in the civil rights movements. I thought the book was insightful and helped me understand. I think Rev. Abernathy gently nudges the halo from the head of his close friend, Dr. King concerning his women and sources of his speeches.
