Seller's Description:
Good. No jacket. Cover is slightly scratched and rubbed with a few chips on the front cover, not affecting legibility. The hinge is slightly worn along its edge. Binding is tight. Ink signature from previous owner on the front end page leaf, otherwise all other pages are clean and unmarked.
A well written book on the subject of gearing mechanics. It covers many types of gears not seen frequently in manufacturing, such as cycloidal tooth forms. It is best for it's equations for calculating gear stresses by tooth form, angle, etc. Definitely a useful addition to any engineering library.
