From Wikipedia: "Harold William Rickett (1896-1989) was a botanist, librarian and professor US Born in England in 1896 and moved to the U.S. in 1911. He received his A.B. in 1917, M. A. in 1920 and his doctorate in 1922 from the University of Wisconsin, despite its first two years of college were at Harvard University. From the Department of Botany, University of Missouri, he moved to New York Botanical Garden as bibliographer assistant (1939), advancing to bibliographer in 1942. In 1959, assumed the additional responsibilities of acting assistant director of Botany. He was an expert photographer of wildflowers."
