I received this novel from a Goodreads Giveaway in exchange for my honest review.
This is the first Leslea Wahl book I have read. Overall this was a lighthearted, fast read with lots of laughs. It was a little "cheesy" in the first chapter. But once Josie leaves to spend the summer with her aunt on a island in South Carolina the story pick ups.
Once she has started her summer on the island the jokes start to role, a love triangle develops, and a mystery is solved. There were a few twists and turns I thought were going to be predictable that the author took in a different direction making the read even more enjoyable.
I enjoy escaping with a good YA. In my opinion, this particular story is more fitting for teens rather than adults that enjoy YA.
