Near Fine in Near Fine jacket. Frontis (portrait), illustrations (1 color), xxvi, 211p. dj (a few spots and some minor chipping). 23cm. Browning on 4 blank pages probably due to now-absent newspaper clippings. Top edge gilt. Trial proofs of frontis and one other illustration laid in (x'd on front in black). One hundred sixty-five copies were printed on Van Gelder paper (of which this is one) and fifteen copies on extra quality Imperial Japan paper.
