This conjugation is formed by changing w into fii, and lengthening the penult, as cpaw, qpa/u, cprjfii. 3. The roots of the verbs of this conjugation, are either, 1. Simple, as cpa, in qpijjut; or Reduplicate, as /St/S-, in /Si/S jKi. 4. This reduplication is two-fold; 1. Proper, when the first consonant is repeated with i, as do, the simple root in Sow; Mo, the reduplicate in dtdwfii, the new formation; or, 2. Improper, when t, only is prefixed, as t, the simple root in ew; it, the reduplicate in 5. Verbs beginning with Jit, tt, or a vowel, prefix t for the reduplication. In the two former, the i is aspirated, as Jitcc, Ima; oia, 'una; in the latter, not unless the simple root begins with an aspirate, thus: ew, irjpi, I go; iw, lrftii, I send. 6. When the simple or primitive radical consists of more than one syllable, there is no reduplication, as ma, unjfu; ovt, onjfii. 7. The pure primitives sometimes reduplicate without passing into fu, as dow, didow; in which case they are inflected as pures of the first conjugation; sometimes they pass into pt, and do not reduplicate, as cpaw, qfrjfii; and many both reduplicate and pass into pi, as &tw, xi&tjfu.
