Malthus presents the ultimate demographic choice-starvation or restraint. His basic thesis is that there is a disparity between the potential rate of population growth and the potential rate of growth of the means of subsistence. He explores the question of why population does not always outstrip the supply of food, and examines possible checks on population growth. Clean illlustrated wraps with wear around all edges, spine creases, half-inch tear to lower corner near spine. Binding is tight and square.
