In other words, the book provides a comprehensive methodology of public policy analysis. It starts from the premise that public policy analysis is an applied scientific-social discipline designed to solve the practical problems faced by public and non-profit organizations. The book is made up of three sections: the first dedicated to the methodology of public policy analysis; the second, to the methods of public policy analysis; and the third, to the public policy communication methods. The first section provides an overview of the methodology of public policy analysis and multidisciplinary analysis of public policy; of the methods, forms and practice of public policy analysis; and of the relationship between critical thinking and public policy analysis. It also offers a description of seven "models of change in public policy" and an examination of the role of public policy analysis in the public policy process. The two basic chapters of the first section are followed in the second section by five chapters devoted to five public policy analytical methods or procedures, namely: problem structuring, forecasting, prescribing, monitoring and evaluation. The third section is devoted to the method of public policy argumentation and the communication process in the analysis of public policy.
