There were problems in the editing or the production of the booklet; AMG's copy was missing several paragraphs of the notes, including all the material that might have pertained to Carli. A student of Piazzolla who has worked as an arranger for the 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic, he shows a real melodic gift in these four short tango-flavored movements, which serve as an enchanting sort of entr'acte in the program.
