John Campbell, a Presbyterian clergyman of Scottish descent, and Mary Hubbard of Chester co., Pa.); son of Thomas of Frazer, b. county Antrim, Ireland, 1722, d. at Frazer Aug. 11, 1799, emigrated from Ireland 1747, settled soon after at Frazer, farmer, a foundei of Great Valley Presbyterian Church, Chester co., Pa., where he lies buried. The family is of English origin, and the progenitors of Thomas were probably merchants of London of the company of adventurers for lands in Ireland in the time of Charles I (m. 1747, Elizabeth, b. in county Down, Ireland, 1726, d.
