The title has been very neatly inked on the spine in white. Front board gilt fairly bright. Bookplate of Hans H. Reese on front pastedown, with Reese's signature (and another signature) on the plate. Previous owner's name pencilled on front flyleaf, with a March, 1876 date. Chicago bookseller paper label (J. C. Thomas & Co. ) on the rear pastedown.
