He was a one-time secretary of the Poetry Society of America, " born in Warsaw, Prussia (now Poland), but he and his family settled in the U.S. in 1907 owing mostly to antiSemitism. He earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Columbia University, workd for the Library of Congress and eventually became the Executive Secretary of the Poetry Society of America from 1949 to 1965. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover, clean, if toned, minimal rubbing to extremities. Bright red cloth over boards.
