Learning from a 4X Olympian
This 1975 account of Olympian George Young--an ace in the steeplechase, 5 km, and marathon--reads like a novel but with the impact of a personal story. Credit author Frank Dolson for putting Young's story out there, using his years of sports-writing skills to craft an incredible tale about his longtime friend. The account of the 5000 kilometer race for the Olympic team with Pre is as classic of a running story there is.
