This is a beautifully illustrated book that you should not mistaken believe is about Princess Diana. Instead it is written by her ecocentric brother who tries to stay focused on the history of the house and not his on-going hostilities toward the Royals, his step-mother and his famous sister. Indeed, it was his sister who made Althorph arise from the dead. Alas, he only allowed Diana to return to live there after she died and then banished to an island. Never-the-less, it is a fascinating insight into British aristrocracy and the dying manors in whic they live. The book is about the house and its furnishings, with the family portrayed as the temporary keepers of its abundant history.
