Kubrick, King were very good at fictionalizing the events and Nicholson was great in The Shining. I specify that the interior is composed of a single sentence, THE MORNING HAS GOLD IN IT'S MOUTH, which repeats itself obsessively for more than 100 pages. Every now and then I pick up the original manuscript and leaf through it. It still gives me the creeps. I hope it does the same to you too.
