A cowboy and a librarian. Sign me up please! I love both and when added together there is the promise of lots of fun. This book did not disappoint!
I had so much fun watching Harriet turn Jensen�s life upside down. She was self-reliant and more than capable of standing up for herself. When a bit of insecurity did arise, I felt its pinch along with her and resented those that had inadvertently caused the pain. But I have to say that I loved seeing her through Jensen�s eyes. Swoon!
Jensen was the fun loving, always smiling and good for a laugh, citizen in Cold River as well as his own family. Deep inside, however, he harbored a pain so intense, when revealed, it pretty much turned me into a sobbing mess. Harriet was exactly what he needed and while he might not have admitted it, it was fun watching him unknowingly accept it.
This was not only fun to watch, with Harriet�s scowls and Jensen�s lazy grins, it was heartbreaking as well. I loved pretty much everything about this. It�s apparent it is not the first introduction to this family or town, but I was never really lost due to the short background that was usually shared when the characters from the previous book(s) were introduced. This was my first by this author but it won�t be the last!
