The quality in this version is superb. You can feel how harsh the winters in Wisconsin were and how warm and friendly the townspeople were. This is the story of the life of a young couple starting out in a new country who had to prove they were good, hard-working neighbors. They counted on their neighbors in the end and they came through for them. I am so glad they re-released this movie so I can share it with my family. I highly recommend this movie as it depicts how life was in America only 100 short years ago.
