Anyway, he has a way with a joke, realistic descriptions of "rotting dogs" and it's in English. Passionate descriptions of life from a poetic hand. The comeuppance is provided by the war and those who do not have time to respect Alban Berg whatsoever; he is competent as a desk officer and good Austrian and comes up with a grand opera.
