El abuelo y el padre dejan atr???s el Par???s de Montmartre, y el hijo, El Once de Buenos Aires. Los tres, con diferentes motivaciones, pero inoculados por un mismo enigma. ???Qu??? los lleva a dejar la civilizaci???n de la luz para adentrarse la penumbra de la selva? ???De d???nde viene tan irresistible llamado? Para descifrarlo, los autores de esta inusitada novela se valen de dos historias que transcurren paralelamente. La principal, cuenta el viaje de Isaac, el hijo, que huye de su confusi???n vital hacia un para???so ahora transmutado en mera atracci???n tur???stica, y va de pueblo en pueblo, de hotel en hotel, en pos de los que, al parecer, solo ans???an hacerse fotos frente prodigioso salto de agua del Iguaz???. Como contrapunto mayor, se cuenta el viaje del padre, narrado en forma Diario (que involucra el del gran abuelo Isaac Ben Shem??? Shofar), el cual ahonda en los secretos humanos del misterio, el que los lleva no solo a ir, a meterse en la selva, sino en el quedarse en una realidad que los turistas fotograf???an con curiosidad, pero desde lejos, por el temor de quedar atrapados en ese Sur de hermosa barbarie, donde la nada puede ser el todo cuando comienza el verdadero apareamiento con la vida.
