It's telling that the disc's strongest melodies belong to "Everything" and Paul Davis' "Ride 'Em Cowboy" -- another pop-country staple of the early-70s. I honestly can't say that anything here improves on last year's debut Blue Frontier, and like that disc, Aim For The Heart is obscenely short, clocking in at a miserly 33 minutes. But if the idea of Bread with pedal steel meets the quieter side of The Desert Rose Band appeals to you... ~ Roch Parisien, Rovi
