Preface: Ahead of My Time . . . from the Streets to the Stages was put together like a puzzle. It is pieces of my life. Every poem has meaning and its purpose is to deliver knowledge. A mixture of Ebonics and Layman's is what I use for my form of urban expression. Sharing my journey in life is my method to saving other lives. I lived a harsh life and learned harsh lessons. Poverty led to the streets. In inner cities, doing so is almost tradition. My friends and i became the newest faces caught up in the traditional system of drugs, guns, fast money, jail and death. It rained, then the sun shone, then there was a torrential down pour of pain. I hope you the reader find value in my words that characterize my experiences. Perhaps together we can make a difference.
