Fair. Size: 0x0x0; Rare. Wallace's first, of many publications on agriculture. In 1915 he devised the first corn-hog ratio charts indicating the probable course of markets. This theory is illustrated with charts and graphs throughout the book. This copy was owned by William L. Calvert, "University (of Minnesota) Farm, St. Paul", an author on agricultural topics. Calvert filled in many of the hog charts with figures, in ink and pen. Brown cloth. Acceptable to good. Edges worn, front board bent. Some stains to front board. Charts are marked up (by Calvert) Papers laid in. In 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt appointed Wallace United States Secretary of Agriculture.
