The Agatha Raisin books are easy reading. They are murder/detective stories. You really need to read them in order as the story of Agatha continues through the series. The series starts with "the Quiche of Death". There is a different murder or multiple murders in each one. A little far fetched but fun.

Must to Read and add to your collection.
This is a wonderful book, I could not put it down. I have recommended this book to several friends and family members. I love the ending it was a wonderful twist which is why I would recommended getting all the books of M.C. Beaton.
The Vicar (Alf Bloxby) and his wife are the charming victims of a handsome, young, and charming Curate (Tristan Delon), who was murdered in the study at the Vicar's home. Mrs. Bloxby asked Mrs. Agatha Raisin to found out who murdered Tristan Delon. With the help of her neighbor, John Armitage, they start looking into the past of this Curate. Agatha and John find out that this Curate, charmed men and women just to get money or gifts of expensive things out of them. Due to his charm and the lies he told to people and Mrs. Raisin ability to annoy some people by asking questions, two more murdered victims turn up. Now making three murders that the poor vicar of Carsely is being accused of; from London to the village of Carsely, M.C. Beaton keeps your attention.
This one book that will be shared and enjoyed by all my friend and family member, I just could not put it down that is how well this book is. I normally read most of my books in the winter , but this one seemed interesting so I started to read it and never put the book down until it as finished.
