Good. No Jacket. The title page has been signed by the author, Hugh Tracey, in ink. Bound in 1/4 leather. The boards are quite rubbed and edge worn, with a small tear at the bottom of the spine, but they remain bright and sturdy. Internally, there is a cancelled Oppenheimer family bookplate on the verso of the front end page. There is a small, closed tear on the half title page. There are no other markings or inscriptions, and the pages within are neat and complete. The binding has been carefully repaired. JK.

The boards have stamped gilt decoration, borders and titling. The leathered corners are much worn, scuffed. The spine has wear to the head and foot and along the seams. However, the corners and spine are benign and sure. The contents are pleasing. The guttering along the half-title page is cracked. The security of the book is unaffected. The contents have just a very few handling marks. In general and by far, the contents are fresh, clean, clear, benevolent, keen, assured. fk.
