I didn't get far into this book before I saw here it was heading; a kind of Jekyll/Hyde story. I'm no fan of sci-fi,so I debated not finishing it. Turns out, there are quite a few twists in the story ad no one is as they seem. I did find the pace exhausting, probably related to people being on drugs. Parker and Darcy were pursued throughout the book. I was glad to reach the end when things were wrapped up and they could stop running. At one point it seems like there are monsters, but it all relates back to the drug discovered by Parker. I did f ind it quite hard to believe at some points. If all this was happening on the campus, where were all the staff and students? Why no security or police, other than corrupt police? And the characters didn't seem to get much sleep in the course of the story since they were always on the run. Not my genre. I didn't enjoy it.
