Slight edgewear, otherwise fine. Adolphe Sax gave his name and inventive skill to a vast range of projects, some so bizarre as to make him appear the very soul of the proverbial mad genius. There is hardly a musical instrument of any kind which did not receive his attention. Only two of his conceptions have endured: the saxhorn around which the brass band is built and that most widely known and prolifically made of all wind instruments, the saxophone.
