Trotzdem nimmt die Zahl der Verfahren - und in letzter Zeit besonders die Zahl der Simulationsprogramme - stetig zu. In jedem Bereich der Gesell-schaft werden Prognosen erstellt. Sei es das Wetter, die H???he der Arbeitslosigkeit, die Anzahl der Zuschauer eines Fu???ballspiels oder die K???rpergr??????e eines Kindes im Erwachsenenalter - beinahe alles wird heutzutage, mal mehr mal weniger gut, vorhergesagt. Nat???rlich k???nnen sich daher gerade Unternehmen diesem Thema nicht verschlie???en. Ihr stetiger Wille, bessere Prognosen zu erreichen treibt deren Entwicklung geradezu voran. Woher kommt also dieser Drang, in die Zukunft schauen zu wollen? Welche M???glichkeiten ergeben sich dadurch und wie erfolgsversprechend sind die Prognosen? Besonders letzterem will diese Arbeit in der Folge auf den Grund gehen. Nach einer Einf???hrung, die einen ???berblick ???ber die Anwendungsgebiete, unterschiedliche Metho-den und die Probleme der Prognosen liefert, werden das Saisonverfahren von Winter und die Reg-ressionsanalyse genauer vorgestellt. Hierbei werden dem Leser kurz die Grundpr???missen der Methoden vorgestellt, um im Anschluss einen ausf???hrlichen Einblick in die Vorgehensweise der Prognoseerstellung zu erm???glichen. Abschlie???end soll das Verfahren der multiplen Regression anhand eines Fall-Beispiels auf seine Praktikabilit???t in der wirtschaftlichen Realit???t hin untersucht werden.
